Technical Director's Message:

Hello Everyone,

With summer behind us and a brand new school term only weeks old, we take this opportunity to congratulate our Orangemen who have been successful in securing spaces at infant, primary, secondary and tertiary level institutions. We must “Big Up” those student athletes who were successful at the 2017 Common Entrance Exams and those who have left our shores to further their education overseas. We noted your unwavering commitment throughout the years to continue playing football, even when popular voices suggested time out to study. Yes my Orangemen, you have proven that education and sports go hand in glove.

This season our focus will be primarily on competition, as we prepare to participate in the Castries Football Council’s Youth Football League.  As in previous tournaments, an academy team will be selected in each of the 5 age division to represent Valley Soccer. News reaching us suggests that the first round of games will be held over the last weekend in September. This leaves us very little time to tweak things and get into competition mode, so expect extra sessions during the week days.

For the Orange Kindergarteners and Under 9 training will continue as usual on Saturdays from 9am to 11am.

At the national level the Castries Football Council is presently participating in the Northern Zone District Under 22 Male Competition. To date the team’s performance has been good, and we anticipate qualification to the quarter final stage. As its contribution Valley Soccer has 7 players on the Central Castries team. We wish the team well in the knock out round, and ask that Valley Soccer Stakeholders make a concerted effort to support the team once the schedule for the Knock Out Round is published.

Also on the cards for this month is the exciting Blackheart Knock Out Competition. More on this once the draw to decide on match-ups is done.

Based on the plans presented, the next 3 months promises to be a very exciting period for our members. So buckle up, as we forge ahead building character one goal at a time.

Yours in sport,

Coach Parry
